The International Conference on Forensic Archaeology and Forensic Anthropology is a joint effort between the Institute of Archaeology, Ethnography, and Anthropology of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences, the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons (CEPOD) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

This scientific conference seeks to bring together international and national experts and scholars working in the fields of forensic archeology and forensic anthropology to set up the foundation for the establishment and development of both disciplines in Azerbaijan in accordance with international standards and within a multidisciplinary framework and humanitarian approach.
